Traditional education systems often fail to meet the needs of these communities, exacerbating existing inequalities. Social outreach programs, which involve local communities in the educational process, have emerged as innovative solutions to address these challenges. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of social outreach education in transforming learning experiences in marginalized areas. It examines how community-driven approaches, such as after-school programs, tutoring, and skill-building workshops, improve academic achievement and student engagement. A mixed-methods approach was used, combining quantitative data on academic performance and engagement with qualitative insights from interviews with educators, community leaders, and students. The results indicate that students in the experimental group, who participated in social outreach programs, showed significant improvements in academic scores and engagement levels compared to the control group. This study concludes that social outreach programs provide an effective, scalable, and sustainable alternative to traditional education models, offering marginalized students more relevant, adaptable, and inclusive learning opportunities. The findings highlight the importance of community involvement in education and suggest that such models can bridge the educational gap in underprivileged areas.</p> La Ode Muhammad Idrus Hamid Basri, Rit Som, Siri Lek Copyright (c) 2026 La Ode Muhammad Idrus Hamid Basri, Rit Som, Siri Lek https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/ejournal/Journal/index.php/ligundi/article/view/1251 Thu, 30 Apr 2026 00:00:00 +0700 Bridging the Education Gap: Implementing Community-Based Educational Solutions in Underprivileged Areas https://staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/ejournal/Journal/index.php/ligundi/article/view/1250 <p>Educational disparities remain a persistent issue in underprivileged areas, where limited access to quality education exacerbates social and economic inequalities. Traditional educational systems often fail to meet the unique needs of these communities, particularly due to factors such as poverty, lack of resources, and inadequate infrastructure. This study explores the effectiveness of community-based educational solutions in bridging the education gap in underprivileged regions. The research aims to evaluate the impact of locally driven educational models on student engagement, academic achievement, and long-term socio-economic outcomes. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative data from academic performance assessments and qualitative data from interviews with educators, community leaders, and students. The results indicate that community-based education programs significantly improved both student engagement and academic performance, with the experimental group showing a marked increase in literacy and retention rates compared to the control group. The study concludes that community-driven educational initiatives can effectively address the challenges faced by underprivileged communities, offering a sustainable and adaptable alternative to traditional education systems. By emphasizing local involvement and culturally relevant curricula, these solutions contribute to more inclusive and equitable education.</p> Yuli Marlina, Amin Zaki, Rukmana Fachrul Islam Copyright (c) 2026 Yuli Marlina, Amin Zaki, Rukmana Fachrul Islam https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/ejournal/Journal/index.php/ligundi/article/view/1250 Thu, 30 Apr 2026 00:00:00 +0700
